CT Scan Service Suspended at Civil Service Hospital for Six Months

CT scan services at the Civil Service Hospital in New Baneshwor have been suspended after the hospital’s CT scanner broke down, hospital officials said.

Acting Executive Director Dr. Ravi Prakash Sharma said the machine has been out of operation for the past six months, disrupting diagnostic services for patients.

“We have recently begun the repair process for the machine,” Dr. Sharma said, “The required parts have been ordered from Singapore, and we expect the service to resume within the next 10 days.”

According to the hospital, around 20 patients require CT scan examinations each day. Since the machine became inoperative, patients have been referred to other healthcare facilities for the tests.

More than 600 patients visit the hospital daily for treatment, according to hospital officials.
