Prof. Dr Dhundhiraj Paudel has assumed office as the newly appointed Chairperson of the Nepal Medical Council (NMC).
Appointed to the post on Tuesday, Dr Paudel reached the Council’s office in Bansbari on Wednesday to take charge.
NMC Vice-Chair Dr Kunjang Sherpa said Dr Paudel’s extensive medical experience, professional expertise and previous roles in the Council’s Ethics and Examination Committees would contribute to strengthening the Council’s credibility, professional standards and the quality of medical education.
Dr Paudel is a senior otorhinolaryngologist (ENT specialist).
