Health Ministry Issues Heat Safety Advice for Children

Kathmandu — As temperatures rise across the country, the Ministry of Health and Population has advised parents and caregivers to take precautions to protect children from extreme heat.

    Key recommendations:

    • Keep infants and children away from direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day.
    • Dress children in light, loose-fitting clothing to help keep their bodies cool and prevent heat-related illnesses.

Health officials say young children are particularly vulnerable to heat stress and dehydration during hot weather.
